Who’s eligible?
Children with medically complex conditions who need ongoing skilled nursing care prescribed by their primary physician. We can talk through the requirements and next steps with you.
What insurances are accepted?
Superhero Kids PPEC services are fully covered by Medicaid for eligible, approved children. We accept CMS Molina, Sunshine, Humana, Community Care Plan and Simply. Our team helps you confirm coverage and gather the enrollment documents.
Do you have transportation services?
Yes. Transportation is a fully covered PPEC benefit for our families. Our transportation partner, MTS Angels of Transportation, drives, and a PPEC Trained Staff Member rides with your child to and from the center. Call (561) 877-2152 to set it up.
What is a PPEC?
A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center provides non-residential medical care for eligible children with medically complex conditions. Superhero Kids is licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration and serves families in Palm Beach County.
Does my child qualify?
Children from birth through age 20 who have medically complex conditions that require continual medical care prescribed by your child’s primary care physician. Medical needs that can’t be met in a traditional daycare or school or children that require multiple visits to the hospital are often times eligible. Your child must require skilled nursing care and present no significant risk of infection to other children or personnel.
Who will be caring for my child?
Our medical team includes a Medical Director, Director of Nursing, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Services and therapies follow your child’s physician-prescribed plan of care.
